This page will contain some basic notation.

• ${\displaystyle \mathbb {F} _{2}}$ or 𝔽2 is the binary space;
• ${\displaystyle \mathbb {F} _{2}^{n}}$ or 𝔽2𝑛 is the binary vector space of dimension 𝑛;
• ${\displaystyle \mathbb {F} _{2^{n}}}$ or 𝔽2𝑛 is the finite field with 2𝑛 elements;
• 𝑊𝐹 is the Walsh transform of the function 𝐹;
• 𝑛𝑙(∙) or 𝒩ℒ(∙) indicates the nonlinearity of a function;
• 𝒟𝑎𝐹 is the derivative of the function 𝐹 in the direction of 𝑎;
• 𝐺𝐹 is the graph of 𝐹;
